WALCC invited to speak on climate and energy at Chinese conferences

Honorary Chairman and co-founder of the Alliance, Johan Wallin recently spent a week in China on a trip which included speaking engagements at two conferences on climate and energy. At the Global Clean Energy Financing and Investment Conference in Xi’an, October 23rd-25th, organized by the Investment Association of China (IAC), Wallin joined as a panelist on a session concerning clean energy economy and sustainable development in China and abroad. On October 27th, Wallin joined the International Conference on Clean Energy in Beijing to speak in a session on public-private collaboration for energy system innovation. There he presented the cooperation between the Alliance and member Fortum in advancing the combined energy and heat production solutions of Fortum in Chinese cities interested in making their heating and energy systems more sustainable.

These conferences offered an opportunity to connect with local decision-makers and companies in the clean energy field to discuss potential collaboration with the Alliance and its members. These connections serve as the first steps in engaging future partners and potential members through a variety of means, building towards next year’s Autumn Forum to be held in Stockholm, Sweden in October.
