Among these are the 2021 study conducted to investigate the potential for the Kilpilahti region to become a leader in climate action.

General Manager, Fortum eNext – Kari Lahti has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, from optimizing power plant operations and providing solutions for emission reduction, to developing solutions for decarbonizing energy systems. He holds an M.Sc. Degree in Power Plant Engineering.

Program Manager, Borealis – Borealis is one of the world’s leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals, fertilizers, and the mechanical recycling of plastics. Borealis received EUR 20 million in funding from Business Finland, to launch the innovative SPIRIT program “Sustainable Plastics Industry Transformation.”

Head of Regulation and Strategy – Noora Neilimo-Kontio has extensive experience in various industries providing management consultancy services on assignments related to finance, business models, and strategy. As part of the management team at Caruna, she is supporting efforts in designing a weatherproof electricity distribution network. Previously she has worked for Fortum, Accenture, and Ernst & Young in various managerial roles.

Eddie Conroy

County Architect, South Dublin – Eddie Conroy is County Architect with South Dublin County Council since 2015. With over 30 years of experience in the Local Authority sector, he has worked on a broad range of design projects – Housing, Public Buildings, Civic, and Urban Design. He is Energy Champion for South Dublin County Council and has been central to a number of multi-city EU energy programs under Civitas, Inter-Reg, Intelligent-energy Europe, and most recently Horizon 2020.
